The sushi rolls are okay. At first, ~$9 for 6 pieces of sushi seemed expensive, but the individual sushi pieces are actually pretty big. Each sushi piece is probably equivalent to 2 sushi pieces somewhere else.
The donburi bowls all looked great. I got the Unagi/Egg Donburi, and I'm surprised that it was just $9.50. Usually anything with unagi is more than $12. I thought that there'd be just a little bit of unagi and a lot of rice, considering the price, but there actually was both a reasonable portion of unagi and a reasonable unagi/egg to rice ratio.
I definitely will be stopping by this place again! -

Tried the sushi here because I've heard a lot about it ! We went very close to closing time so the selection was very limited and the udon noodles were over. Bummer.
We got the California roll, shrimp tempura meal and the seaweed salad. The rolls were not bad 6/10, seaweed salad was delicious 8/10 and the tempura was not good as it was soggy and cold 2/10.
I'm sure if we went sooner the food may have been fresher so I will try this place again for sure.
Note : This food court has the most beautiful outdoor courtyard hidden in the back so be sure to check it out. Maybe get your food to go and eat there. -

The owner of this restaurant is the same as the one on Ward & Shattuck. And the great thing about this one is that there are no long lines!
Their sushi is fresh. Agreed that the prices are a bit steep but the quality is really good. -

Excellent tonkatsu donburi which is a fried pork chop with eggs, onions and rice. Haven't had a good one for so long and I am so glad I bought one here today. One of the better and bigger ones I've had in years. Enjoyed it in the Asian bamboo garden in the back for some added ambience.

10 years later we still stop by here if I'm the area for quick decent sushi. The day old orange stickers items are still best deals and there are still a few more brown rice rolls here than other local takeaway places like the one on Solano (run by Chinese owners meat Subway and I cannot recall the name!), supermarkets, or Tokyo fish. I like the vegetarian rolls like avocado and cucumber, and they sometimes have veggie curry boxes too. Nice service, seating outdoors, and good sushi for the price.
